Apologies for having this up late as I didn't pay attention to this event back then ^_^ll

Foreign runners registration fee is USD30 (definitely way cheaper than SCMS) and the details can be found at http://www.xmim.org/en/rules_regulations.asp I will look forward to Year 2016 edition onwards as I will not be able to do 2015 edition. Xiamen marathon is a gold IAAF label race with generally positive reviews so far.

A summary of the race details with 6 hours cut off timing for full marathon, with the start/end point being the same :D :

Time: 8:00a.m., January 3, 2015, Saturday
Venue: Lighthouse Park, Xiamen, China
IV. Races:
1. Male and Female: Marathon (42.195km), Cross-Strait Invitational Marathon Tournament, National & Invitational Marathon Tournament for College Students.
2. Male and Female: Half Marathon (21.0975km).
V. Course:
1. Marathon:
the entrance of Wutong Lighthouse Park (The Start) →East Huandao Road → North Huizhan Road → Huizhan Road → South Huizhan Road→ South Huandao Road →South Yunding Road (to the North) →South Yunding Road (to the South) →South Huandao Road→ Baicheng Footbridge (turning point)→South Huandao Road →South Huizhan Road→ Huizhan Road →North Huizhan Road→ East Huandao Road →the entrance of Wutong Lighthouse Park (The Finish)
2. Half Marathon:
the entrance of Wutong Lighthouse Park (The Start) →East Huandao Road → North Huizhan Road → Huizhan Road → South Huizhan Road→ South Huandao Road →South Yunding Road (to the North) →South Yunding Road (to the South) →South Huandao Road→ Intersection of Longhushan Road (The Finish)

VI. Entry Rules
1. Age Requirements:
1) Marathon: over 20, born before January 3, 1995.
2) Half Marathon: over 18, born before January 3, 1997.
2. Health Requirements:
All participants shall be physically healthy and be often conducting running practice or obtaining running training. Each participant is advised to register upon his own physical condition and training status. Patients suffer from the following diseases are NOT allowed to participate:
1) congenital heart diseases and rheumatic heart diseases
2) hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases
3) myocarditis and other heart diseases
4) serious coronary artery diseases and serious arrhythmia
5) diabetics with too high or too low blood sugar
6) not suitable for sports when born
3. Quota
1) Both individual and team registration are accepted. Participants are required to fill in the Individual Entry Forms. Team registration shall fill in the TEAM Registration Form with the ORGANIZATION SEAL of the team, sign the Entry Statement with the organizing committee and attach Individual Entry Forms of each team members.
2) The entry limit (up to 45,000): Marathon: 25,000, Half Marathon: 20,000, Cross-Strait Invitational Marathon Tournament: 440 (110 teams); National & Invitational Marathon Tournament for College Students: 200 (30 teams). All entry stops when the quota is met.
4. Registration Time
1) Web Registration: Nov.15, 2014 - Dec.5, 2014, till the quota is met.
2) Site Registration: Nov.15, 2014 - Dec. 5, 2014, till the quota is met.


For Individual: 2:30 p.m.—5:30p.m.from Mon-Sun, 9:00a.m.-11:30a.m., on Sat & Sun, till the quota is met.
3) For Team (Site Registration Only): Nov.15, 2014- Dec.5, 2014, 9:00a.m.-11:30a.m., from Mon- Sun, till the quota is met.
4) Overtime registration: Dec.8, 2014 - Dec.15, 2014, till the quota is met.

5. Registration Fees
A. Full Marathon
1) Domestic entries (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan): 80 RMB per person, with the exemption of entry fees for CAA registered members.
2) Foreign entries: 30USD per person
3) Student entries by team registration (no less than 30 persons): 40 RMB per person.
4) One team should only register ONCE (no less than 30 persons): 80 RMB per person.

B. Half Marathon
1) Domestic entries (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan): 50 RMB per person

2) Foreign entries: 20USD per person

3) Student entries by team registration (no less than 30 persons): 20 RMB per person.

4) One team should only register ONCE (no less than 30 persons): 50 RMB per person.

C. Overtime registration: double registration fees are charged.
D. Grade Applying entries: Chinese Residents Only. Only Full Marathon (42.195km) is open for Grade Applying. Only Grade Two (or above) is available. The applying fees are 200 RMB per person, and double charge for overtime registration. Materials needed when registration: specific markers in individual entry forms, three recent photos (one inch for each) without hats, scanning copy of ID card and the Recommendation Letter from your working organization. E. Finishers of the full marathon before the gate closing time for consecutively ten years have the unique right of receiving designated number bibs and the exemption of entry fees (For more details, please refer to NOTICE TO PARTICIPANTS).
F. NO CHANGE of EVENT once successfully registered. No refund for registration fees.

6. All expenses including transportation, meals, accommodation, Life Insurance Against Accidents and Illnesses will be borne by participants.

7. How to register
1) Participants from abroad or domestic cities except Fujian Province can make registration through travel agencies.
2) Official online Registration: http://www.xmim.org.
3) On-site Registration location: in the Gymnasium, No.2 Tiyu Road, Xiamen Sports Center, Fujian, China

4) For domestic participants(not including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan), the second generation ID card is required when register. For military personnel, Military officer certificate or Solider Cards can be used for registration. For foreigners, passports can be used for registration.

VII. Rules:
1. The events are conducted in accordance with the latest Rules and Regulations for Track & Field certified by IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) and Rules & Regulations of the race.

2. Two START TIME for all races.
1) The invited elite female athletes and CAA registered female athletes start on 7:45 a.m.,

2) The invited male athletes, CAA registered male athletes, other runners for marathon and all runners for half marathon start on 8:00a.m.
