Here is a quick summary of my post race experience after it ended:

Hot, bright and sunny weather on 26 October 2014 which the race was flagged off at 9am (Japan timing). For those doing Newton Run, they should have finished by then :) I got sun tanned and felt a little tried after the 28km mark due to the weather. Really thankful for the passionate Japanese crowd and supporters for making the race lively and enduring the sun with us  Many costume runners who are very skilled runners and still looked relaxed during the race :whaaat: Sad to see a few got heat injuries and had to be removed from the race :(

Blog post by the famous running coach Dr Rameshon who has five runners doing the Osaka Marathon too http://rameshon-m.blogspot.com/2014/10/ ... sults.html

Great run to all who finished the race and I was surprised by the instant newspaper flash from Yomiuri Shinbun which we received after the race and Osaka Marathon being featured in the headline news on 27 October 2014 Yomiuri Shinbun newspaper which i got on my flight back to Singapore. :)

Some sample news (unfortunately in Japanese) on Osaka Marathon 2014:
Yomiuri Shinbun news link on Osaka Marathon 2014: http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/running/featur ... _top_photo (just look at the photos for costume runners and oh my, they are fast runners!)

Yomiuri Shinbun video interview of one race participant: http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/stream/?id=2379629 (you can tell how hot & sunny it was from the video on race day)

Asahi shinbun online news on Osaka Marathon 2014: http://www.asahi.com...GBVPTIL00K.html (To sum up, it talks about the number of people balloting for the event, 50 persons being dehydrated due to hot sunny temperature and etc)
